Vacancy for Level 3 or above Qualified Childcare Practitioner

Qualifications:

  • Level 3 in Early Years or above (Essential)

Requirements:

  • Experience in an Early Years setting
  • Ability to plan ahead, and be flexible and adaptable to change
  • Ability to be spontaneous, and plan in the moment
  • Sound knowledge of the EYFS
  • Experience of the Key Person approach
  • Excellent communication skills to liaise with parents and develop children’s language and thinking
  • Experience in a baby room is desirable

Current certificates in Paediatric First Aid, Safeguarding and Food Hygiene desirable, but not essential as training can be given

 

Hours:

  • 40 hours a week
  • Monday to Friday
  • Shift pattern between 7:45am and 6:15pm

Students undertaking further education come for work experience at the Nursery when they are studying for Childcare qualifications. They are never left alone with the Children but do take part in all the experiences offered by the Nursery.

 

Students are required to demonstrate their knowledge and skills through written assignments, written observations and activity plans to submit to their college/training company. Students will seek your written permission if your Child is to form part of their study.
